Twenty Bucks!

At the beginning of the US primaries I (ever the optimist) bet David (ever the pessimist) $20 that Obama was going to win the election. I don't want to get all political on you, but I do want you to know that I cried like a baby during his speech this evening.

I heard one little sound bite as I drove home from the polling place, maybe 10 seconds, and it made ME cry! So beautiful! Plus, now hubby and I won't be moving up to Canada! Hope for all of America, and this the world. It's beautiful.

We processed 770 total ballots yesterday. That was the most we had done in the decade that I've been a pollworker! The team we had was AWESOME, we all worked well together and kept up with the crowds! People were lined up an hour before the polls even opened, and arrivals remained steady through the day. Amazing and wonderful day...

Congrats of winning your bet!

Like you, I expected history to be made last night. Sadly, I had to miss the live version of Obama's speech. Hearing you say it brought you to tears really brings home the emotional electricity that charged the atmosphere over the past couple of days. Quite a thing to imagine that energy worldwide.

True, that. Sorry to hear that you won't be moving to Canada Brandy, but otherwise we all win. Exciting times.
