Raven's former owner contacted me last night. Jenn reads the blog, and news about another colic sent her searching through 12 years of Raven's medical records to check for evidence of prior episodes -- she found none. Jenn did make me aware of a disparity between the quality of pasture on Vancouver Island and that in the Lower Mainland. We have richer soil, which produces richer grass and richer hay -- this is the most persistent theory thus far. It's also the most favourable in my estimation, so I hope not to disprove it!
